Pilates & Back Care
ABOUT REBECCA
Rebecca trained at the McTimoney Chiropractic College in Oxford, qualifying in 1992. She combines her knowledge of 32 years in clinical practice with 25 years of pilates teaching offering her clients a safe environment to exercise and strengthen their back’s and core muscles of the body.
‘Whilst working as a chiropractor in Suffolk and combining working life with 2 small children I became more aware of my own back pain from constantly bending over and lifting. I started going to pilates classes and was stunned by the almost immediate improvement in my own back. I then decided to train as a pilates teacher myself so I could help my patients’
Rebecca completed her pilates matwork training at the Body Control Pilates Association in 2005. Since then she has gone on to complete her equipment training with the Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) in December 2011 and more recently the progressive Reformer collection with JPilates in London. Rebecca attends regular clinical professional development days to update her teaching skills.
Please note that although Rebecca trained as a Chiropractor she is no longer a member of the General Chiropractic Council and can therefore not describe herself as a Chiropractor.
